Frame by Frame Animation

I decided to use Kanja (what a surprise) for this. He works on a boat, so I figured I'd animate him tossing an anchor to secure the boat.

I started with a really loose sketch of the key points of the motion.

I then recorded a reference video.

And then I animated it! I started by animating the most drastic motions and then filling in the in-between frames-- et voila~!!

Stop Motion -- Anticipation

For our first project we had to make a stop motion video using one of the 12 principles of animation. I decided to go with anticipation! I used my character Kanja and my friend Sarah's little deer, Kida. I made everything out of construction paper and tinted certain areas with colored pencil. The clips were shot with a dslr directly into Dragon Frame and was then edited in Premiere Pro.

After Affects Ball Bounce

I decided to do something fun for my After Effects ball-bounce assignment. I chose the Colossal Titan character from Attack on Titan as my animation test subject :)
